25th Biennial Meeting and Scholarship Gala

Lake City, South Carolina, November 17, 2014 — The South Carolina Conference of Black Mayors (SCCBM) held its 25th biennial meeting and scholarship gala on October 17, 2014, at the Bean Market in Lake City SC.

This event brings together mayors from across the state along with constituents, public officials, community and corporate leaders to raise funds to support the SCCBM’s scholarship fund. Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually to two students who reside in towns/cities where the mayor is a member of the South Carolina Conference of Black Mayors. This event also served to celebrate the history and contributions of the SCCBM as well as elect a slate of new officers.
